Whether you’ve been using Instagram for your business or toying with the idea of setting up an account, you might be wondering if it is actually worth the effort. After a long day of making sure that all the things are taken care of in your business, it might be the last thing you’re thinking about. However, I’m here to tell you that done right, it might be worth it to consider using Instagram as a marketing tool for your brand.
I recently read that consumers are turning to Instagram more and more when choosing between all of the products and service brands that are out there today. The growing numbers are even skipping the traditional Google search! Instagram is a user based platform where people can interact with their favorite brands and experience the culture that surrounds the brand on a human level. It is no wonder why Google has become secondary. Still, how crazy is that? When I think about it, I’m not sure why it surprises me because even I typically turn to Instagram to find the best new cafes, beauty products and even a lot of the clothing that I purchase.
So what does that mean for you and your brand? Simply put, if your Instagram feed isn’t a showcase of your brand and what it stands for, you may be missing out on reaching potential clients, a younger demographic and the future of your brand could be at stake. If Instagram is on the level of a google search, we can compare your Instagram feed to your website. A website has always been a place where your brand lives, so of course, you want it to look its best so that it draws in new customers that will eventually want to buy your products. Am I right? However, I do want to point out that your Instagram followers are not visiting your feed to be directly sold to through sales-y posts. Rather, followers want to identify with your brand’s message and they want to feel like they are a part of the community that surrounds the product or services you have to offer.
That being said, if the state of your Instagram feed is completely random or you only post when you are trying to sell something, you may want to take a look at your Instagram strategy. If just asked “what Instagram strategy?” it is time to take a step back and gather your thoughts and come up with a game plan.
At this point, you might be a bit confused by everything I’ve mentioned above but the good news is that I can help! I’ve written a guide to help jump start your Instagram feed so that you can start telling a stronger brand story on Instagram. Once you begin to do that you’ll start to attract and gain followers, create more leads and build a community for your ideal client. These steps will essentially help your brand rise above the rest and begin to thrive on Instagram. If you’re going to put any time and effort into the platform, you might as well do it the right way! Did I mention that the guide is FREE?
